The Indian Navy has released the official notification for the recruitment of unmarried male candidates as Sailors for Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR) in the Medical Branch.
Application Start Date: March 14, 2026
Application Deadline: April 06, 2026 (05:00 PM)
Form Correction Window: April 10 to April 11, 2026
Stage-I INET Exam Date: May 2026
Candidates must meet the following strict requirements:
| Criteria | Requirement |
| Gender & Marital Status | Unmarried Male candidates only. |
| Education | Passed 10+2 (Intermediate) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) from a recognized board. |
| Minimum Marks | Must have at least 50% overall aggregate marks AND a minimum of 40% marks in each subject (Physics, Chemistry, Biology). |
| Age Limit (DOB Bracket) | Born between May 01, 2005, and October 31, 2009 (Both dates inclusive). Roughly 17.5 to 21 years of age. |
| Application Fee | ₹550 + 18% GST for all categories (payable online). |
To clear Stage-II, candidates must meet these physical requirements:
Minimum Height: 157 cm
Running: 1.6 km run to be completed in 6 minutes 30 seconds.
Squats (Uthak Baithak): 20 times.
Push-ups: 15 times.
Bent Knee Sit-ups: 15 times.
The selection process is divided into two main stages:
Stage-I: INET (CBT) - An initial Computer-Based Indian Navy Entrance Test covering English, Science, Biology, and General Awareness. Candidates will be shortlisted state-wise based on this exam.
Stage-II: Candidates shortlisted from Stage-I will be called for the Physical Fitness Test (PFT), followed by a Written Examination, and a preliminary Medical Examination.
Profinal Merit List / Selection: Final selection and medicals will take place at INS Chilka.

Registration: Register yourself using a valid Email ID, Mobile Number, and Aadhaar details.
Application Form: Log in and select the “SSR (Medical Assistant) 02/2027 Batch” or “INET 2026” link.
Upload Documents: Upload your recent passport-size photograph, signature, 10th and 12th certificates, and domicile.
Submission: Pay the ₹550 (+GST) application fee and submit before the April 6th deadline.
