OR Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and 2 years Junior Basic Teacher (JBT)/Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed.) (By whatever name known, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002. OR Graduation and 2 years Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) /Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed.) (by whatever name known). OR Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three years integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. AND Pass in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) duly conducted by H.P Board of School Government. Education Dharamshala, Distt Kangra or any other Agency authorized by the Government.

Himachal Pradesh HPRCA JBT Recruitment 2026

The Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog (HPRCA), Hamirpur, has released the official notification (Advt. No. 05/2026) for the recruitment of 600 Junior Basic Teachers (Job Trainee) under the Directorate of School Education.

???? Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the educational, age, and certification requirements before applying:

Education Qualification

Passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) with at least 50% marks AND a 2-year JBT / Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.).

 

Note: Graduates with D.El.Ed or candidates with a 4-year B.El.Ed. are also eligible as per NCTE norms.
TET Certification Must have passed the Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HP TET) for the JBT level.
Age Limit

18 to 45 years (Calculated as of January 01, 2026).

 

Age relaxation up to 5 years is available for HP Domicile reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-SM).
Application Fee ₹800 for all categories (Plus a ₹100 fee if you need to use the correction window later).

???? Selection Process & Salary

  • Written Exam (CBT): An objective-type Computer Based Test consisting of 120 Multiple Choice Questions (120 marks) to be completed in 1.5 hours. Subjects include HP GK, Current Affairs, Science, Social Science, Hindi, and English.

  • Document Verification: For candidates who clear the written test cut-off.

  • Salary: Selected candidates will receive a fixed remuneration of ₹18,000 per month during their training period.

  2. Notification Check: Candidate must read the full notification (Advt No. 05/2026) before applying to confirm their eligibility.

  3. Registration (OTR): Click on 'Sign Up' to complete your One Time Registration (OTR) and create a profile.

  4. Collect Documents: Kindly check and collect all documents – Eligibility (12th/D.El.Ed/HP TET marksheets), ID Proof, Address Details, and Basic Details.

  5. Scan Documents: Kindly ready scanned documents related to the recruitment form – Passport Size Photo, Signature, ID Proof, etc.
